About the Holding
Paul’s family farm consists of 80 acres on the edge of Sligo town. They have been farming organically for over 20 years and run a herd of Angus suckler cows and Llyn breeding ewes. They have participated in all the environmental protection schemes.
There are two wildlife habitats on the farm and a steam flows through the farm from nearby Castledargan lake. The farm adjoins Castledargan Golf Resort including a driving range. It also adjoins Sleibh Deane Mountain and Ballygawley Forest.
Paul had previously worked as a carer for 8 years both in the community and in Sligo University Hospital. This work gave Paul great experience in supporting individuals with a wide variety of needs.
