ABOUT THE FARM HOLDING
Vincent has a five-acre small-holding near Summerhill in Co. Meath. The creed of the farm is sustainability; the farm is a self-sufficient organic farm where Vincent grows a variety of vegetables and keeps lots of animals. Most meals are from food grown on the farm and he enjoys celebrating meals with others.
Work on the farm is mainly done by hand as machinery is not used with the exception of ploughing and planting potatoes. There are a variety of animals including cows, chickens, geese, and donkeys as well as an organic vegetable garden and poly-tunnel.
Vincent loves welcoming people to the farm, sharing good food, stories and music. He’s passionate about growing organic food and raising healthy, happy animals. Vincent has previously worked as a Community Nurse and has extensive experience working with people from all walks of life.
He has been social farming for more than 10 years. To view social farming activity on Vincent’s farm click here.

LOCAL & COMMUNITY INTERESTS
Vincent has a wide variety of interests, one of them being herbal medicine. He has studied the medicinal properties of plants and believes in the healing power of nature. He walks to the local shop daily, accompanied by dogs and occasionally the donkey. Freshly prepared vegetables and eggs are sold at the road, where he interacts with neighbours who come to purchase this produce on a daily basis.
