
ABOUT THE FARM HOLDING
Barbara farms a small holding where they produce much of their own vegetables, fruit, eggs, and meat in a sustainable way. There are many animals including two collie dogs, cats, cows, calves a sheep, lambs and a donkey. There is also a small woodland area.
All the food on the farm is produced organically. Each day begins by feeding the animals and picking the eggs for the breakfast; then it’s time to get get started on the various jobs like planting, weeding, watering, and harvesting.
Barbara is a qualified Reflexologist and does Indian Head Massage and Reiki.
A SOCIAL FARMING DAY
- Caring for hens and ducks: Feeding, collecting eggs.
- Horticulture: planting seeds, growing vegetables, watering, picking and eating fruits, planting flowering bulbs and flower seeds.
- Animal care: feeding and caring for sheep, donkey and cattle.
LOCAL & COMMUNITY INTERESTS
Barbara enjoys preserving surplus fruit and vegetables as well as cooking what nature provides. The family are very involved in music and love to play instruments.
